The applicability of 13.56 MHz foil transponders for attachment on the road surface is investigated in the research project TagDrive. Vehicles with transponder reader devices use the transponders for navigation and tracking. Due to the high velocity of the vehicles a new high-speed test stand was developed. Tests were accomplished with up to 100 km/h relative speed and varying distances between reader and transponder. Also, pressure tests of transponders with casing were absolved by a servohydraulic test stand. Finally, a new pneumatic test stand was developed to simulate the roll-over mechanism of wheels. Climatic tests were accomplished according to DIN EN 60068-2-67 and IEC 68-2-67 respectively.Downloads
