This paper deals with scaling effects which have been discussed at the WGTL Colloquium 2006 and are now analysed in more detail. It describes the shift from secondary to primary effects due to the down scaling of construction components what leads to a changed mass-surface ratio. First results of the force estimates are presented and the effects of these forces onto the conveying process are discussed.Downloads
