Abstract

This contribution focuses on two different simulation methods for analyzing parcel behavior in a bulk. In a test scenario a container filled with parcels is emptied by tilting it towards a belt conveyor. Different styles in modeling and contact formulation are compared as well as the increase of calculation time due to higher number of parcels. Opportunities in analysis scoping future application fields like parcel singulation are shown.
